What is DYMAT?
DYMAT stands for Diocesan Youth Music and Animation Team. We are a group of young people who enjoy creating music and giving back to the community by providing music ministry for different events run by the Diocesan Youth Service and Youth Commission.
What do we do?
We bring together the youth of the Diocese to form a central music group. Everyone is welcome, and we look for as many instruments as possible to create a wonderful accompaniment for masses and events that we support.
Who can join us?
Anyone who can play an instrument or sing, no matter what the level. There is a place for everyone and we hope to continue growing our group in the future.
Where do we meet?
Previously we have held weekly rehearsals in St Andrew’s Cathedral, Dundee. However, we are currently looking at new ways to gather together in order to reach more youths across the Diocese, particularly those who cannot make a weekly commitment.
How can you get involved?
If you or someone you know is between 12 and 30 years old, can play an instrument or sing and wants to get involved, or if you have any questions, please contact the youth office at youth-office@dunkelddiocese.org.uk
